Virtual Learning Academy
In response to the Covid pandemic, Bridging the Gap developed an online, Virtual learning academy to help students improve educational and developmental outcomes, especially when they are struggling in their studies. We provide tutoring in a group setting to supplement in-school learning with added educational experiences. We share resources, best practices, and solutions to reach as many youths as possible, helping them to return to classes ready to succeed.
"Bridging the Gap virtual learning academy has developed into a vital method of support for students affected by Covid-19. These students and their families have established a strong connection with BTGLA tutors. The tutors are able to utilize virtual learning platforms, documents, and interactive assignments to enrich and encourage student growth." -A. Hardy, Exe. Admin. Asst.
Online Classes
Online Classes at the Virtual Learning Academy include programs that assist students in math, reading, writing, spelling, and study skills led by certified teachers and tutors.
Our Instructors
Our instructors utilize direct instruction, modeling of tasks, and the gradual release method ("I do, you do, we do") to help students understand and master concepts.
They also provide detailed evaluations of student progress and help identify needs for additional learning supports.
